Layering With Tibi

Tibi is a fundamental brand for us at W Department because it provides a solid foundation for a variety of concepts to build upon. Founded in 1997 by Amy Smilovic, Tibi is designed through an ethos and manifesto created by Smilovic herself, which she titles “The Creative Pragmatist.” This manifesto is all-encompassing, providing specific vocabulary (cheekily titled the Tibictionary), a color wheel, and loose rules and guidelines (which are meant to be broken).

Tibi works well for us because it can be mixed and matched with almost every other brand in the shop, or it can be worn together for an effortless and very put-together look through the use of layers.

The Tibi Bio Twill Triple Pleat Cropped Pant mixed with the Tibi Slip Cami is a perfect mix to go out to dinner on a hot, sticky summer night. The Bio Twill Triple Pleat Cropped Pant is meticulously crafted from premium bio twill fabric based in Italian lightweight gabardine, sanded, and washed with water-repellent coating, providing a luxurious feel with outstanding durability, and is fabricated of 100% cotton.
