Carla Fernández builds garments from squares and rectangles, folded and seamed rather than cut into, and the method is easiest to see in the pieces that never had to become a body. A pillow cover is a square of cloth with an opening in it. There is no shoulder to clear, no arm to set, and no waist to negotiate, so the only decisions left in one are the cloth and what has been done to it. Those are exactly the decisions nobody has told us about. This arrives as three covers and a name, and there is nothing else on it.
Sizing and dimensions
We do not hold dimensions. A pillow cover is one of the few things where a measurement is not a preference but a requirement, because it either takes the insert or it does not. Call the store before ordering and someone will measure all three and tell you what they will hold.
We carry this house because it puts Mexico into how a thing is made rather than onto its surface, and that argument does not stop at clothing. Three covers is also the smallest change a person can make to a house and still see it.
The square is where this house starts, and a cover is a square that never had to become anything else.
Three covers. We do not hold a fiber content, a color, a weave, a technique, a size, or a country of origin for these, and there is no photograph of them either. That is the whole of what we can tell you, and it is less than this object deserves.
Until somebody has read the labels on these, the label is the instruction and nothing general we could say outranks it. One thing is true of covers in any cloth: wash them before the insert goes in rather than after, and wash the three together, so that whatever they do in a first wash they do to each other rather than to one of them alone.
