Playlist: 2026.3 | Miracle and Wonder

This is W Department, translated into sound

March is the month where light returns differently. Not louder, just longer. The air shifts. You begin to notice things again.

We continue our playlist series for March with a more fluid, less genre-dependent collection. I wanted to start this playlist with a song that’s very important to me. One of my fondest and earliest memories is lying in the back of my father’s Jeep Wagoneer as a little boy, the opening notes of Paul Simon’s Graceland suddenly crashing in, filling the space with sound. “These are the days of miracle and wonder.” A phrase I think of often – how much the world around us now would feel impossible just a few years ago and how quickly everything evolves. This is not intended as nostalgia, but as a celebration, a joyous observation of growth and change.

I am continuing to play with Spotify’s “Mix” feature and though it is still rudimentary, I am impressed with how it is evolving every month. This collection of songs is intended to connect the past to the future – songs and artists that have inspired me, new music that I am discovering, new interpretations of classics. These tracks suggest that miracles aren’t abstract, they’re felt in ordinary moments, moments that live on as memories.

This playlist captures what beauty is to me.

It is not loud.
It is not forced.
It is not performative.

It appears when form and feeling align.

At W Department, we create spaces, moments for exploration, where that alignment can happen – a garment that shifts how you stand, a piece of art that slows your breathing, a song that reframes your afternoon.

March is about awakening, about noticing again, about remembering that even in complexity there is awe.

This is the sound of Miracle and Wonder.
