Ann Demeulemeester Floor Micro T-Shirt

Micro is a description of the cut rather than a marketing word: this is short in the body, so it ends above the waist and the print has to work at a scale most graphic tees never attempt. That changes what the graphic can be. A large image on a long tee is a poster. On a garment this small the image sits close to the body and reads at conversational distance, which is a quieter way to carry a picture and much closer to how this house has always used one.

Ivory rather than white is the other decision, and it softens the whole thing by a degree. Against a hard black jacket it is the only warm element in an outfit.

Why we selected it

We wanted one piece from this house that does not require a decision, and a graphic tee is usually where a label stops caring. This one is cut properly, which is the difference.

Ann Demeulemeester founded the label in 1985 and Stefano Gallici has designed it since 2023.

Materials and construction

One hundred percent cotton, made in Italy, in ivory, with the “Bikers Kiss” graphic printed at the front.

Fit notes

Cut small and short, which is the design rather than the sizing, so sizing up will give you a longer body rather than the intended shape. Lightweight cotton jersey follows the body, relaxes across a day, and recovers with washing.

Styling and care

With a high-waisted trouser, where the crop and the waistband meet. Under the Agnes Jacket or a leather blouson, with only the print showing. For care, wash cool inside out to protect the print, keep it out of a hot dryer, and never iron over the graphic. Our care guidance covers cotton.
