The V-neck is what separates this from the rest of the Chiffon Twist family, and it is not a trivial difference. A mock neck holds the twisted pleating in a closed vertical column from the throat down. A V opens that column at the top, so the spirals fan outward from the point of the V rather than running parallel, and the whole upper half of the garment reads as radiating instead of falling. Long sleeves carry the twist down each arm, which keeps the effect continuous around the body. Pink Robin is a soft, slightly warm pink, pale enough that the shadow inside each twist is clearly legible, which on a twisted pleat is where all the depth lives.
Why we selected it
The V-neck genuinely changes the behaviour of the twisted pleat rather than just changing the neckline, and the pale pink is the right ground for showing it.
Twisted pleating is Issey Miyake‘s signature technique complicated on purpose, and the neckline here is what determines how you read it.

100% polyester, made in Japan, in Pink Robin. Twisted pleats, V-neck, long sleeves.
Fit notes
Pleated cloth compresses and opens, so expect more room in wearing than the flat garment suggests. The V-neck sits open, so it layers over something visibly rather than concealing it.
Styling
The open neckline invites something underneath, and because the V fans the pleats outward, a plain solid beneath reads as deliberate rather than accidental. Pale pink sits well with grey, ivory, and charcoal, and less well with anything warm.
Care
The pleats are heat-set into the polyester and are permanent, so it washes without losing them. Miyake’s own instruction is to wash at 30°C or below in a laundry net on a short cycle, or press gently by hand, and never to tumble dry, iron, steam, or dry clean, since the pleats are not heat-resistant.
