A high neck and a short sleeve is an unusual combination and a very good one: covered at the throat, bare at the arm, so the garment reads as composed rather than casual while still being a warm-weather piece. Vertical pleating holds a narrow line down the body. May sits at the point in the Monthly Colors calendar where the line turns toward summer, and this is the shape that turn produces.
Why we selected it
The high neck is what separates it from an ordinary short-sleeved top, and it makes a simple garment look considered.
Materials and construction
100% polyester, made in Japan. High neck, short sleeves, vertical pleats.
Fit notes
High neck, short sleeve. Pleated cloth opens in wearing, so there is more room than the flat garment shows.
Care
The pleats are heat-set and permanent, so it washes without losing them. Wash at 30°C or below in a laundry net on a short cycle, or press gently by hand, and never tumble dry, iron, steam, or dry clean. Store it rolled along the direction of the pleats.
