Kuon Upcycled Boro Type02 Double Ring Belt

A double ring closure is the least mechanical way to fasten a belt. The tail goes through both rings, back through one, and the load of your own waist pulls the cloth against the ring and holds it. There is no prong, so there are no holes, and a belt with no holes has no fixed positions and nothing that stretches into an oval over a year. There is nothing to snap and nothing to unscrew. It is also infinitely adjustable, which is the practical reason a cloth belt survives a change in the wearer where a leather one with five holes does not. The cloth is the other half: upcycled fabric produced from cuttings at sewing factories, patchworked, which is the same material argument the bucket hat makes and the same one that sits underneath the whole house.

Why we selected it

We wanted one belt that was not leather and was not a webbing tactical thing, and there is very little between those two.

One hundred percent cotton, made in Japan. Patchworked from upcycled fabric produced from cuttings at sewing factories. Double ring closure. Color: Navy.

Sizing and dimensions

We do not hold a length or a width for this belt. A double ring belt has no size in the ordinary sense, since it adjusts continuously and the only real question is whether the strap is long enough to reach through the rings with a tail to spare at your waist. That is the number to ask for, and someone will measure it for you.

Styling and care

Through the Aizome Slub Wide Trouser or the Fanage Corduroy Tapered Trousers, where a cloth belt is quieter than leather would be. With the Boro Bucket Hat, which is made from the same kind of cloth.
