Sheer cloth usually falls. It is thin, it has little to hold it up, and most sheer shirts read as a suggestion draped over a body. This one does the opposite. It is crisp, which in a woven cloth means it resists being bent and springs back when it is, and the practical consequence is that the shirt has a silhouette of its own: the sleeve holds a shape, the body stands away at the hip, and the whole garment occupies space rather than clinging to it. Sheer and structured at once is an unusual combination and it is the entire reason to own this shirt.
Why we selected it
A sheer shirt that keeps its own shape is much easier to wear than one that does not, and it turns out to be a surprisingly rare thing to find.
The main line has always treated crispness as a structural property rather than a finish, and this shirt asks the cloth to do the whole job on its own.

One hundred percent polyester. Made in Japan. Sheer, long-sleeved button-up with a structured silhouette. Color: black.
Fit notes
Because the cloth stands away rather than falling, this shirt reads larger on the body than its measurements suggest and does not need to be sized up for room. Sheer means sheer, so decide what goes underneath before you decide the size.

Care
Wash cool and gently or have it cleaned, and keep heat away from it entirely, because a crisp synthetic loses its hand to a hot iron and does not get it back. Hang it to dry with room around it. Our care guidance covers the rest.
