A three-way bag is an engineering problem rather than a marketing claim, and it is solved with hardware and with anchor points. Two short top handles carry it as a tote. A single long strap, adjustable and detachable, clips to one set of anchors and takes it across the body. Moved to a second set, the same strap puts it on the back. The whole conversion depends on exactly where those anchors sit, because a bag that hangs correctly from one shoulder hangs wrong from two, and getting all three positions to sit right on one body is why most convertible bags are good at one carry and merely tolerable at the other two.

The closure is a drawcord at the top rather than a zip, which is the mountaineering answer. A cinched opening will close over a load that a zip will not, and when it is overfilled it fails gracefully instead of splitting. Two side pockets close with their own cinches, and a zip pocket on the front handles the things that have to be found quickly rather than dug for. UL, in this house's naming, is ultralight.

Sizing and carry

We do not hold dimensions or a volume for this bag and will not state a capacity we cannot stand behind. What can be said is structural. A drawcord top means the usable volume is not a fixed number, since a cinched opening closes over a load that a zip would refuse. The adjustable, detachable strap means the drop is set by the wearer rather than by the pattern, which is what makes one strap serve both a cross-body carry and a shoulder one.
