Issey Miyake Pleats Please Monthly Color: July Shirt

It is as close to a perfect tee as the line makes: a round neck, cap sleeves, and nothing else, in pleated cloth. What the pleating adds to a shape this basic is surface, so it never reads as a plain t-shirt even though it is cut like one. July in the Monthly Colors calendar, and the least demanding garment in the line.

Why we selected it

It is the easiest thing in the line to wear and it still does not look like an ordinary tee.

Materials and construction

100% polyester, made in Japan. Pleated, with a rounded neck and cap sleeves.

Fit notes

Cap sleeves and a round neck. Pleated cloth opens out in wearing.

Care

The pleats are heat-set and permanent, so it washes without losing them. Wash at 30°C or below in a laundry net on a short cycle, or press gently by hand, and never tumble dry, iron, steam, or dry clean. Store it rolled along the direction of the pleats.
