Lemaire Mini Croissant Keyring – Roasted Pecan

The Croissant reduced until it is no longer a bag. At this size the shape is pure signature: the curve is the same drawn crescent as the full-size bags, tapering at both ends, but scaled down to something that hangs from a keyring or a bag strap. It is made properly rather than made small, which is the distinction that matters on an object like this. Soft grain leather, a working zipper, and a cotton canvas lining, so it opens and actually holds something, a folded note, a card, a coin, rather than being a solid charm in the shape of a bag. The grain leather is the right choice at this scale because a smooth finish would show every knock and this will take them into its surface instead. Made in Spain.

Why we selected it

It is the house’s signature shape made as a real object rather than as a token, with a lining and a zipper that work. Small leather goods are usually where a house cuts corners, and this one is not cut.

Materials and construction

Soft grain leather with a zipper closure and a cotton canvas lining. Made in Spain, in roasted pecan. We do not hold a percentage composition.

12cm x 7cm x 2.5cm.

Styling

Roasted pecan is a warm mid-brown, so unlike the black it will always read as a separate object rather than as texture. It is the better choice if you want it seen, and it sits particularly well against black and navy leather.

Care

Grain leather at this size takes handling well and wants very little: a dry soft cloth, and no soaking. A mid-brown will show water marking more readily than the black does, so blot rather than rub if it gets wet. Our fabric care guide covers leather.
