Mai Gidah Drawstring Joggers with Extended Cargo-Style Knee Pockets

A cargo pocket normally lives on the thigh, high enough that a hand reaches it standing up. Moving it to the knee changes what it is. At the knee it is not primarily a place to put things, it is a mass low on the leg, and mass low on the leg is what breaks the taper of a jogger and makes the silhouette read as a trouser rather than as sportswear. Extending it downward exaggerates that. It is one element moved a long way, which is this house's habit, and it is the only change made to an otherwise ordinary jogger: drawstring waist, cotton jersey, nothing else. Ninety-five percent cotton with five percent elastane, which is what lets a jersey recover at the knee instead of holding the bend after the first day. The color is Lavendoli Purple. A drawstring waist takes a range, so choose on the hip. The knee pockets add width where a jogger usually narrows, so the leg reads fuller from the knee down, and loading them will exaggerate that further. The elastane means the knee recovers overnight rather than staying bent.
