A reversible garment is a construction problem before it is a design one. Both faces have to be the outside, which means no raw edges anywhere, no visible bar tacks, no facings, and seams that look deliberate from either side. Most makers solve it by letting one side be plainly the front and the other a consolation. This one does not. It is pink in both directions, light on one face and deep on the other, so the question is which pink rather than which side is the real one. A ball short is the right shape to attempt it in, because it is cut wide and short and carries almost no structure to begin with, so there is very little for the second face to have to hide.

Polyester gets treated as a compromise, and on a short it is not one: it dries in minutes, it takes a strong color and keeps it, and it does not hold the day's heat. Two pinks in one pair was the part that made us laugh.

Polyester washes easily and fails only to heat, so wash it cool and keep it away from a hot dryer and away from an iron entirely. A strong color in a synthetic holds far better than in a natural fiber, but it will still fade in direct sun, so dry it out of the light. Our care guidance covers the rest.
