Savas Lowry Jacket
$3,800.00
A jacket is cut to a hem. A shirt is cut to a tail, and the difference is not decorative. A curved shirttail runs longer at the back than at the sides, which is what lets a garment be worn out over a trouser without looking as though it has been left undone, and it sets the back length, the fall of the side seam, and the whole line from the waist down. Cloth forgives that decision, because a hem can be moved later. Lamb leather does not, so a curved tail in leather is a pattern cut once and cut for good. The western detailing sits on top of a shape that was already resolved, which is why it reads as detailing rather than as costume. Black, in a smooth full grain lamb, and made in Italy.
