Rick Owens V Neck SS T
$387.50
The fabric is the reason to buy this rather than a cotton tee, and the reason it does not behave like one. Viscose and silk jersey is denser and cooler to the touch than cotton, it has almost no spring, and it carries a faint lustre rather than a matte finish. What that means on the body is that the shirt falls from the shoulder in a column instead of sitting on the frame, and a long body cut in it reads as a line rather than as a long tee.
Why we selected it
We wanted the viscose and silk jersey in a men’s cut and this is it. The cloth is the argument and it is obvious within seconds of putting it on.
Materials and construction
Eighty-eight percent viscose and twelve percent silk, made in Italy. Jersey, V neck, long through the body. Colour: Dust.
Fit notes
Long through the body, so it sits well below the hip. Viscose and silk jersey has limited recovery and follows the body closely, relaxing across a day and settling back with care. Take your usual size.
Styling and care
With black trousers. Under an open outershirt, where the fluidity underneath makes a leather layer read as the structure. For care, hand wash cool, never wring it, and dry it flat, because viscose is markedly weaker wet than dry. Our care guidance covers the rest.
